North East District Arts Festival is a month-long celebration of Arts and Life, with a series of activities lined up for you! Riding on the growing interest and appreciation of our residents for the different forms of arts programmes, North East Community Development Council (NECDC) hopes to establish suitable platforms for our residents to enjoy the therapeutic effects of the Arts which will also help to connect with Singaporeans from all walks of life. NORTH EAST DISTRICT ARTS FESTIVAL 2008
In our continuous effort to promote community bonding innovatively, North East Community Development Council (NECDC) rode on the growing interest and appreciation of our residents for the different forms of arts programmes. Collaboration with the National Arts Council (NAC) and People's Association(PA), North East District Arts Festival 2008 will see a month-long celebration of the arts in June 2008, right in the heartlands of the North East district. With the aim of bringing the arts into the heartlands to engage the residents in arts-related events and to better the level of appreciation in arts among the residents, the North East District Arts Festival 2008 brands itself as one of the mega-scale event of the year, reaching out to the 720,000 residents in the district. The CDC hopes to establish suitable platforms for residents to enjoy the therapeutic effects of the Arts which will also help to connect with Singaporeans from all walks of life.  In so doing, NECDC hopes to narrow the differences among various ethnic groups and strengthen friendships among Singaporeans.
